Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of starboardlane.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make through it. By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Eligibility and Account Use

You must be at least 18 years old, or using the Site under the supervision of a parent or guardian, to place an order. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login information confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us right away at hello@starboardlane.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

Products, Descriptions, and Pricing

We make every effort to display our products, including colors and colorways, accurately, but actual colors may vary depending on your device's display. Starboard Lane is known for offering an expanded range of colorways, and slight variation between dye lots or production runs is normal for textiles and is not considered a defect.

Some products are sourced from third-party vendor partners; while original vendor titles are kept, descriptions are written in Starboard Lane's own voice. Prices, product availability, and promotions are subject to change without notice. Discounts and promotional offers cannot be combined with one another, and select vendor-sourced items may be excluded from sales and promotions.

Orders and Payment

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline for any reason, including product availability, errors in pricing or description, or suspected fraud. Payment is processed securely through Shopify at the time of order. You represent that any payment information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

Vendor and Dropship Fulfillment Disclosure

Certain product categories, including rugs, furniture, mirrors, and other home goods, are fulfilled directly by third-party vendor partners through Shopify Collective rather than shipped from Starboard Lane. Orders that include these items may arrive separately from the rest of your order and are subject to the processing and shipping timelines of that vendor, which are typically longer than our standard catalog items. Shipping and Returns

Shipping timelines, methods, and details for vendor-sourced items are described in our Shipping Policy. Our return eligibility, exclusions, and process are described in our Return Policy. Both policies are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including the Starboard Lane name, logo, "Barefoot Elegance" branding, product photography, and written content, is owned by Starboard Lane LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Site content without our prior written permission.

User Conduct and Prohibited Uses

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or other users' accounts
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce Site content or pricing for commercial use without permission
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or engage in any activity that disrupts the Site
  • Submit false or fraudulent orders or payment information

Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The Site and all products are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Starboard Lane LLC, its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or your purchase of products, including damages caused by third-party vendor partners fulfilling part of your order. Our total liability for any claim relating to your order will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Starboard Lane LLC, its owners, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the U.S. Virgin Islands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved in the courts located in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted to the Site, and the "Effective Date" above will reflect the most recent update. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
